Missing Hawick man Kevin Shiel returns home

Police have confirmed a Hawick man who was reported missing more than a week ago has returned home.

Kevin Shiel, 46, of the town's Noble Place, was last seen outside his home address on 10 September.

He had failed to make contact with friends or family and concern was growing for his welfare.

However, a short statement from Police Scotland confirmed he had returned home and thanked the public for its help during attempts to trace him.
