Two in court on Ecclefechan death probe intimidation charges

Two men have appeared in court following incidents of alleged attempts of intimidation during inquiries into a man's death in Ecclefechan.

David Johnston, 38, of Clapperton Road, Annan, and Shane McInally, 23, of Bridgend Cottage, Hoddom, appeared on separate charges.

Both are alleged to have attempted to pervert the course of justice.

No plea or declaration was made in either case and both men were remanded in custody at Dumfries Sheriff Court.

On Monday, two men appeared charged with the murder of Kevin MacKay in Ecclefechan last Thursday.

They made no plea or declaration and were both remanded in custody.
