Man killed in Melrose caravan fire is named as David Ogg

Police have released the name of the man who died in a caravan fire in Melrose on Saturday.

He was 63-year-old David Ogg, who had been living in the caravan. It was parked in the driveway of a house in the town's Tweedmount Road.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at about 22:00 on Saturday. The caravan was completely destroyed.

Police Scotland said inquiries into the circumstances of the fire were continuing.
