Police are appealing for help to trace a man from the Borders who went missing in London more than a fortnight ago.

Allan McTeir, 48, of Innerleithen, was last seen on 18 June, at a relative's address in the Lambeth area.

He sent a text message from near Heathrow bus station a day later but he has not been seen or heard from since.

Mr McTeir is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, with a medium build. He has grey-white hair and a beard, and is balding.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Allan hasn't been seen or heard from since he sent a text message from the area of Heathrow bus station on 19 June, and we are keen for any information that can help us trace his current whereabouts.

"Anyone who has seen or heard from Allan since he went missing should contact Police Scotland on 101."
