Forty passengers have been evacuated from a bus after its engine caught fire on a motorway early this morning.
The incident was on the A74M Glasgow-Carlisle motorway about a mile south of junction 20, Eaglesfield, which is five miles from Lockerbie.
Firefighters from Annan and Gretna were called out shortly after midnight and were able to put out the fire.
Although the inside of the bus was engulfed in smoke, all of those on board escaped injury.
The 40 passengers later resumed their journey south on a replacement vehicle.
