Woman badly hurt after Guid Nychburris horse fall

A woman remains seriously ill in hospital after being thrown from her horse during the Guid Nychburris celebrations in Dumfries.

The casualty, from Lockerbie, suffered a head injury in a fall during the "Chases" at Park Farm on Saturday.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to hospital in Edinburgh.

Police are investigating and want to hear from anyone with video footage of the incident.
