Man charged over crash in which Kelso couple died

A 48-year-old man has been charged with driving offences following a fatal road collision in the Scottish Borders.

The incident took place on the A697 Greenlaw to Carfraemill road on 23 December 2012.

Derek Peoples, 53, and his 51-year-old wife, Avril, from Kelso, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision.

Police Scotland said the man would appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court at a later date.
