Ryan Centre assault witnesses sought

A 16-year-old boy was left with serious facial injuries after an attack in Stranraer, police have said.

The incident happened outside the town's Ryan Centre at about 17:30 on Monday.

The teenager was assaulted by another man and was badly hurt in the attack.

The victim was taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock. Anyone who saw anything in the area at the time has been asked to contact the police.
