Borders policeman Kevin Storey in court on rape charge

A police sergeant has appeared in private at Selkirk Sheriff Court accused of a number of sexual offences including rape.

Kevin Storey, 46, of Melrose, faces a total of 10 charges which include assault and rape, attempted rape, indecent assault and assault to injury.

The Galashiels-based police officer made no plea or declaration and the case was continued.

Sheriff Kevin Drummond released the policeman on bail.

The date of his next court appearance has yet to be confirmed.
