Glenrath Farms egg factory proposal could bring new jobs

Up to 30 jobs could be created if an egg pasteurising plant is given the go-ahead in the Scottish Borders.

Glenrath Farms is already a large employer in the region with more than 200 staff.

The factory, set in a former quarry at the company's nearby Millennium Farm, would need a range of new employees.

Scottish Borders Council is currently considering the plans for the site situated between Eddleston and Leadburn.
