Whithorn man arrested after buzzard death

A man has been arrested after police investigations into the death of a buzzard in southern Scotland.

The 62-year-old, from Whithorn, was granted bail.

It followed a police probe into the death of the bird which was discovered on the Glasserton Estate in Whithorn in December last year.

Police said the case had been the subject of a "detailed investigation", which included a forensic examination of the dead bird.
