A road has reopened after a lorry carrying glue jack-knifed, spilling its load over the carriageway.

The crash closed the A76 Dumfries to Kilmarnock Road at Sanquhar in south west Scotland on Friday.

A major clean-up operation took place, which closed the route for most of the day.

Lengthy diversions had to be put in place after the lorry jack-knifed in the town centre. The driver was not hurt.
