Galashiels Academy One suggested site is somewhere in the grounds at Galashiels Academy

Plans have been unveiled to develop a new school in the Borders for children with complex physical needs.

At a meeting of Scottish Borders Council's social work and housing committee, councillors heard that the region's current facilities were out of date.

Two preferred locations have been suggested.

One is the former Earlston High School site and the other within the grounds of Galashiels Academy.
