Two eight-year-old children were taken to hospital after a car crashed into an electricity pole in the Borders.
Their 40-year-old mother was also taken to hospital for checks, while their 39-year-old father was unhurt.
The incident took place at about 22:00 on Thursday on the A702, one mile north of Carlops.
A fire service spokesperson said the car had spun several times on the slippery road before hitting the wooden pole.
Firefighters administered first aid until ambulance crews arrived at the scene.
The children were taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh and their mother was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary as a precaution.
