Two in Stranraer Sheriff Court over Cairnryan death

A man and woman have appeared in court following the death of 65-year-old George Potts in Cairnryan on Christmas Day.

Christina Mary Dane Slooves or Biggar, 55, from Cairnryan, appeared at Stranraer Sheriff Court charged with murder.

She is also charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.

James Potts, 62, from Ballantrae also appeared, charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Neither made a plea or declaration and both were remanded in custody.
