Twitter scheme attracts Dumfries and Galloway firms
Businesses take part in the scheme via Twitter using the hashtag #dghour
About 75 businesses in Dumfries and Galloway have signed up to a scheme to raise their profile via social media.
The Twitter-based project was launched following the success of a similar one across the border in Cumbria.
Businesses and individuals can get involved every Wednesday from 19:00 to highlight their skills and experience or to recommend someone else.
There is a different theme every week and companies can get involved by using the hashtag #dghour.
In a rural region, it is proving successful in bringing together businesses - some more than 100 miles apart.
Organiser Melissa Gunn said the response had been impressive and was building a strong network of firms.
