A man's body has been found in the River Tweed after rescuers were called out to reports of a missing person.

The discovery was made on Wednesday just upstream of Norham Bridge by the dive team working alongside the Borders Search and Rescue Unit.

Rescuers had been called out to help in the early afternoon after reports of a missing man in his 60s.

The search included fire and rescue personnel and a helicopter from RAF Bulmer.
