Four in court over A74(M) drugs haul

Four people have appeared in court after the seizure of drugs worth more than £330,000 on the A74(M) motorway.

Elizabeth Jess, 50, and James Jess, 54, of Ayr, appeared at Dumfries Sheriff Court in relation to the seizure of cannabis resin valued at £300,000.

In a separate case, Ylber Hamiti, 35, of Edinburgh, and Alfred Koci, 21, from Birmingham, also appeared after a find of herbal cannabis worth £30,000.

No plea was made in either case and bail was granted.
