Two arrested over Galashiels break-in

Two men have been arrested over an early morning break-in at an electrical store in the Borders.

A number of washing machines and tumble driers worth thousands of pounds were recovered when a white transit van was stopped by police officers on the A7.

It followed a report of goods being stolen from the Curry's store at Comely Bank Mills Retail Park in Galashiels.

Lothian and Borders Police said two men, aged 36 and 54, were due to appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court next week.
