Body found in Ettrick Water identified

An angler whose body was discovered in a river in the Scottish Borders on Tuesday has been identified by police.

Jim Corrigan, from Falkland in Fife, was found in the Ettrick Water in Selkirk at around noon.

Rescue teams helped police bring him to the shore.

The 68-year-old had been seen fishing in the area. A Lothian and Borders Police statement said there were no suspicious circumstances and a report had been sent to the procurator fiscal.
