A man has appeared in court in Dumfries in connection with a road crash which claimed the life of a baby boy.

Eighteen-day-old Oliver Hewson was killed in a three-car collision on the A75 Gretna to Stranraer road, near Carrutherstown, on 7 March.

Sixty-two year old Thomas Black, from Gretna, is charged with a contravention of the Road Traffic Act.
