Aerosol lorry fire closes stretch of A74(M) near Moffat

A lorry carrying a load of aerosols caught fire on the A74(M) near Moffat.

The driver was not injured in the blaze which happened shortly after midnight.

Three appliances from Dumfries and Galloway Fire and Rescue were sent to the scene.

The northbound stretch of the A74(M) between junctions 15 and 16 was closed for several hours while debris was cleared and the road surface was checked by police.
