A7 near Heriot reopens after timber spill

The A7 just north of Heriot in the Borders has reopened after a timber lorry overturned and shed its load.

Two trucks were heading in convoy towards Midlothian when one of them tipped over on a sharp left-hand bend.

The driver of the lorry was not hurt but the timber poles were scattered over the road.

Diversions were put in place after the incident at about 06:45 but the road was able to reopen shortly before 11:00.
