Dumfries flat attack victim seriously hurt

A man is in hospital with serious facial injuries after an early morning assault at a flat in Dumfries.

The incident happened in the town's Armour Drive near to Simpson Avenue at about 04:00 on Sunday.

The 21-year-old victim remains in Dumfries Infirmary for treatment.

Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary has appealed for witnesses or for anyone who was in the area around the time of the attack to come forward.
