Munro's of Jedburgh £50,000 tool raid investigated

Thieves have stolen three large mechanical tool boxes valued at about £50,000 from a Borders bus depot.

The incident happened at the Munro's of Jedburgh site in the town's Bongate between 22:30 on Sunday and 04:45 on Monday.

As well as the tool boxes and their contents, a quantity of parts and tyres was also taken.

Last month about £3,000 in cash was stolen during a break-in at the firm's Oakvale Garage.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the theft has been asked to contact the police.
