Annan Athletic Galabank pitch plan approval advised

Galabank stadium Annan Athletic plan to install an artificial pitch at their Galabank ground

Councillors are being advised to approve plans for an artificial pitch to be installed at the ground of a Scottish third division side.

Annan Athletic want to use the third generation (3G) surface at their Galabank stadium.

The club also intends to fit a 7m high fence at the North Street side of the ground.

Planning officers have advised Dumfries and Galloway Council to approve the project subject to conditions.

Annan currently sit in fifth place in the Scottish third division, two points off the promotion play-off places.
