West Linton £20m housing appeal rejected

A Scottish government report has rejected an appeal by developers after councillors refused their plans for an 82-home scheme in the Borders.

Springfield Properties wanted to build the houses on a site near a new primary school in West Linton.

Scottish Borders councillors turned down the bid last year due to the layout and housing designs.

That decision has now been upheld after a site visit and a claim for expenses against the council has been rejected.
