Duns Knoll Hospital open after sickness bug outbreak

A Scottish Borders community hospital is open again as normal following an outbreak of a winter sickness bug.

Eleven patients and two members of staff at the Knoll Community Hospital in Duns were affected.

Admissions were stopped for a time, visiting limited and strict hygiene precautions imposed at the single-ward unit.

NHS Borders said a steam clean had been carried out at the facility and that the situation was returning to normal.
