Penmanshiel wind farm application lodged

A bid to construct a 15-turbine wind farm in Berwickshire has been lodged with Scottish Borders Council.

Renewable energy company RES UK has applied for the scheme on land at Penmanshiel, north of Grantshouse.

The full application has already attracted a small number of objections from neighbours of the 600 hectare site.

The scheme will be considered by council planning officers over the coming months.
