Shop fitter Havelock Europa's finance director resigns

School fitted out by Havelock Europa Havelock's business includes fitting out schools and offices

Shop and office fitting firm Havelock Europa has announced the resignation of its group finance director with immediate effect.

Grant Findlay had been with the Fife-based firm for nine years.

He will be succeeded next month by Ciaran Kennedy, who was operations director of construction and property group Kier's Scottish Utilities wing.

In April, Havelock announced it had returned to profit last year, having made a loss in 2012.

The Dalgety Bay-based company said at the time it had benefited from an improving retail sector and high level of activity in financial services.

Chief executive Eric Prescott said: "The board would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Grant for his significant contribution over the last nine years and we wish him the very best for the future.

"We are delighted that Ciaran will be joining Havelock Europa.

"Ciaran brings with him 20 years of financial and operational experience working for publicly quoted companies, together with a record of strong leadership and strategic growth skills."
