Man and woman arrested after Larbert drugs seizure

A man and a woman have been arrested in Larbert, near Falkirk, after police found a "large quantity" of drugs.

Officers seized 15kg of cannabis resin, three kilogrammes of amphetamine, two kilogrammes of herbal cannabis and "dealer quantities" of cocaine in the raid at Graham Avenue on Monday.

The force said the drugs had a total value of about £110,000.

A 53-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman are due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Ch Insp Alan Waddell, from the Forth Valley division, said: "Acting on vital intelligence from the public, officers were able to seize high-value quantities of a number of substances before they could make their way into our communities."
