TalkTalk to create 25 jobs in Stornoway

Broadband and phone services provider TalkTalk has announced plans to create 25 new jobs in the Western Isles.

The company said the jobs involved the continued development of its Stornoway site, "while upskilling the team and reviewing salaries for all employees".

The news came as TalkTalk announced it would axe hundreds of jobs south of the border.

The company said it planned to cut up to 390 jobs and consult on plans to close a call centre in Northampton.
