Golf club company London & Scottish in liquidation

The golf club firm which operates Craibstone Golf Centre on the outskirts of Aberdeen has gone into liquidation.

Craibstone has been run by London & Scotland Golf Courses for the past four years, and is the only golf centre owned by the company.

The 18-hole course, which has about 425 members, was built in 2000.

Neil Dempsey, of the liquidators Begbies Traynor, said: "We are looking to trade the business in the short-term while we endeavour to find a buyer."

The five full-time staff at the centre have been retained.
