Man and a woman killed in A980 crash named

A man and a woman who died in a crash in Aberdeenshire earlier this week have been named by police.

Mark Lee, 41, of Drumoak, and Valerie Cruickshank, 43, of Banchory, died at the scene of the collision on the A980 Torphins to Banchory road.

It happened at about 19:15 on Wednesday evening.

The crash involved the Land Rover Mr Lee and Ms Cruickshank were travelling in and a silver van.
