Workers taken off Shell's Nelson platform in North Sea after power loss

Nearly 150 workers were taken off a North Sea oil platform following a loss of power.

Shell said the "power outage" incident happened on its Nelson installation, 124 miles off Aberdeen, on Tuesday morning.

A total of 148 people were taken off, and 19 workers remained on board. Shell said no-one was injured.

The Nelson platform was shut down at the time for maintenance. Work is ongoing to restore power.
