James Buchan named as man whose body was found near Aberdeen Harbour

Police have identified a man whose body was recovered from the sea near Aberdeen Harbour on Wednesday.

He was James Buchan, 70, from the Newburgh in Aberdeenshire.

Aberdeen RNLI recovered the body after the crew of an offshore supply vessel had raised the alarm at about 19:30.

There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and police say a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
