Man seriously assaulted outside Peterhead nightclub

Police have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in an assault outside a nightclub in Peterhead.

The 47-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with head injuries following the incident outside Mambo's in Queen Street at 03:20 on Sunday.

His condition was described by police as serious.

The suspect was described as male, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build.

He was thought to be in his mid-to-late 20s and had short cropped brown hair at the back and the sides.

He was wearing a grey fitted T-shirt, blue jeans with cargo-style pockets at the side of the legs, and white trainers.

Police Scotland have urged anyone with information to contact them.
