Police watchdog to probe man's fall in Aberdeen

The police watchdog is to investigate an incident where a man fell at a block of flats after officers had been called to reports of a disturbance.

The 25-year-old man was seriously injured in the fall in Aberdeen.

The incident happened at about midnight on Sunday at Marischal Court.

The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service has asked the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner to look into the incident.

Police Scotland said on Monday that there were reports of a disturbance at the flats when the man fell, seriously injuring himself.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
