Man in custody over baton 'grab'

A man is in police custody in connection with an incident involving the Queen's Baton during the relay.

The man is understood to have attempted to grab the baton which was being carried through Forres High Street.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "There was no impact on the carrying of the baton or the baton bearer and no disruption to this community event."

The baton relay will take 40 days to travel around every local authority area in Scotland.
