Michal Smolarek named as victim of A98 bike crash

A 34-year-old man who died after his motorbike was in collision with a car in Aberdeenshire has been named.

Michal Smolarek, of Turriff, died after the crash on the A98 Portsoy to Banff road, near near Auchmore Farm, on Saturday night.

The collision involved a grey and red Triumph motorbike and a white Mitsubishi ASX car.

Police Scotland appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
