Robert Smith struck off over missing Elgin social services money
A social work co-ordinator who took more than £1,200 from residents of an adult day service in Elgin has been struck off.
Robert Smith was a service co-ordinator between July 2010 and July 2013.
The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) said Mr Smith's misconduct was serious due to the timescale.
The SSSC conduct sub-committee said a removal order from its register was the only appropriate sanction available.
It said this was to safeguard the interests of service users and the public.
