Man in 20s dead after B9016 Keith to Buckie crash in Moray

A motorist who died in a crash in Moray is believed to be a man in his 20s.

The collision - involving a grey Mini and a blue recovery vehicle - happened on the B9016 Keith to Buckie road, about two miles from Aultmore, at about 16:00 on Tuesday.

The Mini caught fire as a result of the crash.

Police Scotland said the road was expected be closed until Thursday to allow a collision investigation to take place, and road repairs.

Sgt David Pirie said: "This was a tragic incident resulting in the death of a local man and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

"Inquiries into the circumstances of the collision are continuing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw either of the vehicles involved to come forward."
