Aberdeen childminder Hazel Park ordered to improve
- 4 June 2014
- From the section NE Scotland, Orkney & Shetland
A childminder has been told to make immediate improvements to her Aberdeen home.
Inspectors found Hazel Park was smoking around children, and refused to do it outside due to the weather.
The Care Inspectorate has also demanded she take first aid training, and clean up her garden to avoid the risk of injury and infection.
Inspectors visited Mrs Park's home in Kincorth in February and March this year to follow up on earlier concerns.
They found she regularly smoked in her kitchen despite being told not to.
The inspectorate gave Mrs Park's service some of its lowest possible grades, and issued four improvement notices and one enforcement notice.
It says it will be monitoring Mrs Park's childminding closely for improvements.
Mrs Park has not yet been available for comment.
