Fresh plea after more bikers crash in north east of Scotland
Police have issued a fresh safety plea after collisions involving motorcyclists in the north east of Scotland continued despite a previous warning.
Officers had last month urged caution when 12 collisions saw one biker was killed and six seriously hurt.
However a further 11 collisions happened between Friday and Sunday involving motorbikes.
Three people were left with serious injuries.
Insp Ewan Innes said: "With the period of nice weather now upon us, it was inevitable that we would see an increase of motorcyclists on the roads.
"However, a total of 11 collisions over the period of the weekend is disappointing.
"I appreciate that the majority of motorcyclists ride sensibly, however I would reiterate that it is vital that riders do ride to their own ability, particularly when in groups."
