Inverurie and Kintore milk thefts lead to police appeal

The large-scale theft of milk from the Inverurie and Kintore areas of Aberdeenshire has sparked a police appeal.

Eight separate thefts have happened outside commercial premises and educational establishments after deliveries over the past fortnight.

The thefts all took place between 02:00 and 07:00 and a vehicle is thought to have been used.

PC Doug McMann said: "It appears that these incidents are linked."

He added: "It is thought that the persons responsible would be operating during the early hours of the morning and residents who are active at this time are asked to be vigilant of anything suspicious and contact police immediately."

The total value of the milk taken is believed to be more than £100.
