Woman dies after being hit by lorry in Aberdeen

A woman has died after being hit by a lorry in Aberdeen, police have said.

The accident happened in the city's King Street at about 09:15.

A police spokesman confirmed that the woman died at the scene and that her family had been informed.

King Street was closed between Linksfield Road and Regent Walk, but has since reopened. Police have appealed for anybody who witnessed the crash to contact them.
