Two men injured in tyre explosion

Two men are in hospital after an accident at a garage in Aberdeenshire.

It is understood the pair were inflating a tyre at Framor Motors in Banchory on Saturday afternoon when it exploded, injuring them.

One of the men was flown by air ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with multiple injuries.

He was in a "stable" condition. The other was taken by road to hospital. Police Scotland said the Health and Safety Executive had been informed.
