Serious Boddam house blaze treated as wilful fire-raising

Boddam fire The Boddam fire happened early on Wednesday

A blaze which caused serious damage to a house in Aberdeenshire is being treated as wilful fire-raising.

The fire happened in Rocksley Road in Boddam at about 05:55 on Wednesday morning.

Firefighters from Peterhead and Ellon worked through the morning to bring the blaze at the unoccupied house under control.

Police Scotland appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.
