Women in court after crack cocaine and heroin recovered in Aberdeen

Two women have appeared in court after drugs with an estimated street value of £60,000 were seized in Aberdeen.

Police Scotland said crack cocaine worth £47,000 and heroin worth £13,000 were recovered in the Powis area on Friday.

Mary Bowa, 21, and Carol Dixon, 50, both from London, were charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

They made no plea or declaration when they appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and the case was continued.

They were both released on bail.
