Police officer Keith Knowles charged over data access

An Aberdeen police officer has been charged with obtaining files at work for "non-policing purposes".

Keith Knowles, 48, is accused of accessing personal data on various occasions between July 2010 and September 2012.

He faces four charges of breaching the Data Protection Act.

The case called at Aberdeen Sheriff Court. No plea was lodged, and the case was continued.
